My wife is a chef; we enjoy dining out and have visited many great restaurants all over the world. We were excited to visit a Paul Becuse restaurant and our evening started out well. Unfortunately, the service was terrible and the entrees were not much better. I truly believe they forgot to put our order in the kitchen, then instead... More

This is a smart Brasserie with linen tablecloths. It was fairly busy on the Friday night we were there. The food was ok as was the house wine but nothing to go out of your way for.

Very traditional Brasserie, from Bocuse's School. Friendly staff and a correct menu. Nothing that surprised me.

Clean establishment. Excellant, attentive staff. It was difficult to decide what to order. Had to have the beef tartare as a starter even though it was a main couse. We said that we would share and we were pleasantly surprised that they brought the order divided. It came with the beef, parsley potatoes and a salad. I asked for mayonnaise... More

We attended Le Sud for dinner recently. The first course was excellent - I ordered a ratatouille tart that I'm still dreaming about, and my family so enjoyed their starters as well. However, the service was not what we were expecting. Our server was actually quite nice, but he seemed stressed and overspent with his other tables. We ended up... More

After five visits to Le Sud over four months, it is dependably excellent every time. One of my top choices in Lyon. Better cooking and space than other Paul Bocuse restaurants Le Nord and L'Est in my opinion. And most importantly, the dishes range from classic to inventive, which is not typical in Lyon. There's plenty of high quality classic... More

We enjoyed our meal here - it was relaxed, not rushed, and the service was good. The food was fine, certainly not great, but there were no major issues. Ambience could do with a bit of improvement - lights a little lower, perhaps a bit of music. However it did get busy, which added a bit of atmosphere. Set menu... More

Classical atmosphere, small menu, but all plates very tempting, kitchen influenced by Southern France, with very good fish. Excellent wine selection. Brasserie belongs to Chef Paul Bocuse.

My husband had eaten here previously during a work trip fromAustrlia and raved about the experience and the creme brulee. It was not on the menu, however, upon relaying this to the waitstaff we were assured that it could arranged. The wine list had limited options by the glass and the champagne was very expensive by the glass. The flat... More
