friendly staff, excellent food, good service, good wine, highly recommended. But needs to be booked well in advance before travelling to Val

Good value for Val d'Isere, restaurant has a nice ambience even if tables are a little closely spaced. Our server was a little abrupt and very rude when I asked for my 'well done' steak to be cooked for loner (I was initially presented with a British medium/medium rare). But that is France!

We had not made any reservation, but probably should have, and most tables seemed occupied. The waitress who greeted us was however very nice and brought an extra chair so that our group of 5 people could have the last available table that was only set for 4 people. The noise level was quite high although it was a small... More

Visited with my family whilst on ski holiday Having not been to Val before I looked in TripAdvisor and this looked good! And it was. Small place with lovely open fire where some of the meat is cooked. Great service and lovely menu. I have French onion soup which was amazing! I always have this when in France & this... More

Went for dinner last night. We hadn't booked but managed to get a table. Good menu, lots of different options, very meat biased, but that's good for us! Food was delicious, perfectly cooked steaks. The atmosphere was lively and friendly. We'll be back before our holiday is over.

Visited here recently with friends. It was my birthday and I was very kindly paid for by the other members of our party. It is therefore difficult for me to comment on value as I didn't pay! As other reviewers have mentioned there is the issue of the two sittings putting pressure on you - however, it didn't affect us... More

This is a bit of a Val stalwart and in all fairness the food, when done well, is good. The meat is usually well cooked and sides etc normally pleasant. We don't go there for the pasta, raclette or fondue so I can't comment on those. But we had a really iffy experience this year. My husband stuck his head... More

This restaurant has the reputation as the the place to eat in Val, although I enjoyed our visit I'm not so sure. You must be a red meat and French wine lover to really enjoy this restaurant and they really cram you in, expect an elbow nudge or two. I though it was expensive for the type of food and... More

We were a large group of 10, and ordered just about everything on the menu. Food, service, and atmosphere, were terrific. Would suggest either a fondue, or something grilled in the fireplace. Good value for what you receive.

This restaurant runs two sittings per night. 7-7:15 and 9-9:15. Too early or late for us so they offered 7:30 which just about suited us. Our party of six arrived between 7:25 and 7:40 and we ordered promptly bearing in mind they didn't attend to our table for a while. Food was good and service ok although it all seemed... More
