Great food. Wonderful service. Great place for authentic Italian meals. Western travellers to France should look this place up.

Unbelievable authentic Italian food in Villefranche-sur-Saone. Visited for my birthday with friends and wasn't disappointed. The food was very tasty and well presented. The host was excellent and made us feel welcome... she even arranged for her husband (the chef) to give us a lift home! Small family run, authentic Italian and a great evening. Many thanks for your fantastic... More
thank you friends!! Have a good stay here in France and train your italian language! A kiss to mr Deejay, Mr Irish stew and Zucchero! Arrivederci. Stéphanie and Pasquale More
This looks an assuming cafe in a quiet street, but we had a very warm welcome from a great host, and some really excellent food. All homemade, fresh and delicious. The menu changes every 3 months, but if you visit soon, try the cappuccino of baby octopus cooked in ink with mashed potato to start - you won't be disappointed!... More
We were a group of 17 (8 adults and 9 children) stopping off in Villefranche for a night en route to skiing in the alps. Having done this 2 years ago and had a bad dining experience elsewhere we were in search of something more special. And we found it. Valentines night and they closed the restaurant for us (only... On an overnight in Villefranche and happened upon this unassuming restaurant whilst walking our giant schnauzer - we were all made very welcome and had an amazing meal, steak was superb!! Really would recommend, our hostess was absolutely lovely and good was amazing.
This is a small restaurant, the look of the place is quite simple both outside and inside. The lady welcomes you with some italian words and make you feel confortable straight away. There are only 4 menus (starting around 25€ up to 40€) and not an very big carte. Lets make it straight, this is not a place to come... More
I have lived in VSS for a while now and have walked past the restaurant often. I never saw anyone in it, so discarded it. Based on the reviews I had lunch there the other day and was impressed. Fresh, home made Gnocchi in tomatoesauce as the main dish. The appetizer was brilliant, the supplied actico balsamico one of the... More
We had such a warm welcome and the food was truly delicious and all home made. You won't get typical fast food pizza or bolognase type dishes but you will enjoy traditional italian dishes with good quality ingredients. We felt that the owners really cared that we should eat things we would like. Good value too. We left smiling and... More
We have had a lovely lunch. There is a choice of the daily menu or a la carte, or a combination of both. We were fortunate to have tomato soup on the daily menu and is was the best tomato soup ever. The service was excellent and very helpful as English was spoken (we are working on our French). We... More
This is a wonderful restaurant with a great welcome and truly lovely food. The rest of my family are vegetarian and when this was mentioned they got some really nice food as a starter. The reviews on here are correct and this is simply one of the nicest Italian restaurants around and I have spent lots of time in Italy.... More
