The first thing you notice is the colors. Both outside and in, the Bakerei Krachenfels is warm. Children will find a corner made just for them, which means if you are traveling with them on the road, this may be a much needed stopover, to give their minds something else to fixate on besides window shopping for sites, and complaints... Me and my husband were here for a quick bite. My husband ordered a Berliner and I ordered a cup of hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was really nice and my husband also enjoyed his Berliner. If you are in Triberg and looking for a local Bakery I would definitely recommend you dropping by at Backerei Konditorei Cafe Krachenfels.

Perfect for breakfast or mid-morning coffee. Trip the marzipan snowball. Yummy. Located right next to town hall

I wished I did not enter: the coffee is awful (the worst I had here in Deutschland). Cakes are ok, but I expected something better from a backerei .... and don't expect the waitress to speak english, I almost tought she did speak neather german!

This was a nice place to stop for cafe und kuchen after our hike up to the waterfalls. The play area is nice for little ones. It was clean and the cakes were very good.

We stopped here on a sunday in the early afternoon on our 2015 trip through the black forest. The place looked nice from the outside so we went in. This is an outlet of a chain that says they have around 40 outlets. This one could use a bit of renovation, the leather on the bench along the wall was... More

Triberg is the location of the highest waterfall in Germany. In summer the place is probably packed but when we visited in December most access was closed because of the climb on dodgy surfaces. So we went for Kaffee und Kuche instead. Cafe Konditorei Adler was on the main street almost opposite the town hall. There are a few steps... More

We picked up some sandwiches for lunch and were served by a young woman who looked and acted like she would rather be anywhere else but helping us. The sandwiches were very inexpensive and tasted all right for a quick grab and go but we had much better service and better tasting and quality food at many other bakeries throughout... More

Doesn't have that old world kitsch decor like other places so maybe doesn't feel as authentic as it is a modern interior. However the cake was terrific: Black Forest Gateaux; the most moist tasty cake I've ever had. (Must better than the frozen ones from Asda!). Had a delicious cappuccino too and the place is spotlessly clean and service was... More

Stopped by here after walking up to see the falls. Had coffee and some cakes. They were delicious, and I especially loved the little play area off to the side. The atmosphere was light and fun, and it was a nice place to stop and sit for a minute.
