Located in a high tourist area, the prices here are not bad. Since there is quick turnover, the sushi seems quite fresh. Seating is limited, but it's more like a lunch counter, so people don't linger. You can order for take-away or sit down and be waited on. Once you're done, just pay at the register by the door.

Shoya is easy to find near the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. From our experience trying a number of Ramen places in town, Shoya is one of the better ones and sits in the mid-price range. Around 11 Euros for a bowl of Ramen is quite reasonable for the middle of Munich and the Ramen itself was spot on. Really tasty broth,... More

Cute authentic little Japanese restaurant by Hofbräuhaus. It beyond satisfied a ramen and beer craving - and being a Japanese-American from LA, I have high ramen standards! Creamy tonkotsu broth, the right amount of veg, and perfect egg noodles - yum.

After a month of bread, croissant, it's good to have something different. We went at lunch time, it was packed, impossible to find a place to seat, so we ordered the takeaway. Return for dinner, not so packed and also not as hot. The food is delicious mainly because it's FULL of MSG, it makes us very thirsty. Other than... More

Really glad that I found this place ... It is a really nice place with good food. I missed Japanese food. The service was excellent too. Recommended

Superb taste and wonderful change from the meat-heavy German food. Felt as though I'm back to Asia. But downside is that the Jap staff don't seem to understand English well and place is ridiculously small.

When here in connection with the BAUMA fair. Small sushi place with a lot of Japanese customers. Thought this was a good indication of quality I ordered a rather big plate of mixed sushi and miso soup for 16 eur which I found very fair. I was not able to eat it all and I am a good eater so... I have come back to this good & authentic Sushi restaurant many times in the years, and it never changes. The Sushi is real Jap (!!). The quality of the Sushi is quite good, not the best I had. They apparently now have 3 different locations downtown Munich: I went to the one in Platzl, near the famous brewery. Best... More
