Usually I only leave reviews for places that I've had good success with, but in this case I make an exception. I've had great times at Augustiner and bad as well. When the food is good, it's amazing! That said, I've had plenty of loser meals here too, as I'm a regular visitor to Munich and have had groups here... More

Coming from the UK where life is full of mundane small chain restaurants it is great to visit mainland Europe and experience something refreshingly different. Zum Augustiner was recommended to me and I'm glad I took the advice. We were ushered to a 6 seater table (pre-occupied by a party of 3) and sat down. We had our own space,... More

Very typical place in Munchen. Food was good but not UAU - a street hot dog fit me better - and service is quite cold.

I thought that we could find there traditional food and a nice place and instead of it, we found Chinese waitress??!?!? A dirty atmosphere, and bad smells...I don't like it very much... The place is beautiful but the service was not good at all

Great beer and a good selection of German traditional dishes. I had lunch here which was decent. It is a large restaurant/beer hall so is probably better for lunch than dinner.

We had a great brunch here just before 11. It tied us over until dinner. There are several good dishes that they stop serving at 11, so get there before then. The white sausages with mustard is one of them. The waitresses were helpful. Ours was an Asian that spoke English well but was a bit rough/ pushy, but that's... More

I have been to this establishment many times over the years and enjoy each visit. here you will be served super Bavarian classic dishes that vary through the seasons, plus excellent beer. The service is good with typically some humour from the staff rather than stuffy elegance. This is a great place to go with a group of friends to... More

The oldest brewery in town, fabulous cellar restaurant steeped in history and tradition offering great beer (of course) and a great choice of German and Bavarian specialities. Have been here several times and never had a bad meal. Not the place for a romantic dinner for two as you end up with a bunch of strangers at your table as... More

... is the word that better conceives my opinion on the restaurant. Nothing was really bad or wrong about the dinner, neither I remember something which impressed me on the positive side.

Good German food. Very popular in Munich. I think this one is better than HB. Lot of local people eat here.
