We wandered around the Old Town for about an hour looking for somewhere authentic for some food & local beers but everywhere seemed to be either fast food, a chain or Mediterranean until we found this place down a back street next to a Tapas Bar & Californian themed grill. The hotelier had told us of the local specialty, roast... More

This restaurant is tiny but oh so good very atmospheric and welcoming, the food is German cuisine and ours was beautifully cooked. Not too expensive either and the service was very good . My Nuremberg bratwurst were excellent absolutely delicious. My friends meatballs were also excellent. Make sure you book though as they can't fit in many diners. My friend speaks... More

A nice place to discover together with some local specialties. The waitress is both nice and helpful when the time comes to chose. All courses are served in more than generous portions so be careful before ordering! Altogether, a safe choice in nuremberg.

My wife and I ate here while visiting Nuremberg last month. The food is hearty, unpretentious and just flat out good. The restaurant is located in the old town (Altstadt) section and close to many other attractions. The evening we ate there if was mostly other Germans so it's not touristy, which in my view is a good thing. The... More

The food was great and the staff were very nice, but only if you speak at least a little German. The decoration was also nice.

Don't look at lamps, cushions, curtains aso and order a pork shoulder. All vegetable sides are excellent. But the sour cream on top of herring was passé. Dessert (Kaiserschmarren) was really not the best in Bavaria. Find another place.

We turned up without a booking and they were full but then someone left so luckily we got a table. Small intimate restaurant in true German style. We both had sausages and fried potatoes which were nice. For those dishes and two beers each, it was 33 euros which seemed reasonable. Meals were delivered quite quickly. There is an upstairs... The restaurant is very small, nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. We have been there in a bigger group and tried several dishes. Most of them where very good. If you like fish I would recommend the friend carp (half a fish deep fried in some bateter). Unfortunately the cordon bleu was far too salty and the potatoe salad... More

This is a little gem in the city, very popular with the locals and the food just amazing with great value for money. The restaurant is small but has a very family feel to it, the service is quick and portions are good. Make sure you make a booking.
