You'll feel like you've stepped back into the 1400s at this restaurant. Sit down at the long wooden tables surrounded by antique mustard jars and order the traditional sausages famous in Nuremberg. Don't forget to try the beer here as it's fresh, cold and perfect with any meal.

This place may be historical but it has lost any sense of history with it. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Romanians in cheap garish German outfits. And then the beeps and the dings of the microwaves. The chatter of the Asian cooks. And when the bill comes out, there will be an item that says... More

If you want atmosphere this has it by the bucket load. Quite a small place, but with a quick turnover. A fairly simple menu...sausages, sausages and sausages...there are a few other items !!!! Friendly service, on mainly long tables, so be prepared to cosy up to a stranger. Great food, good price, just what it says on the tin.

This location is absolutely beautiful. The restaurant has all of the charm that you would ever hope for, and the food and service was great. Absolute must for travelers to Nurnberg.

Nuremberg sausage is defined by law to a specific size and composition, and Zum Gulden Stern does an outstanding job of preparing the delicacy - they've been doing it since 1419. Be sure to have the sauerkraut; it is sweeter and much tastier than what you buy in the supermarket.

This is such an historic and authentic restaurant, and who doesn't want to eat Nuremburgers (traditional little sausages cooked on an open grill right before you) when in Nuremburg? My friends and I were lucky enough to show up early and get a table, but I it filled up quickly soon after, and I saw people being turned away as... More

We ate here twice whilst in the city. A bit out of the way but well worth the walk (5 mins from the old town). A building steeped in history (Though rebuilt in a similar style after the war), surrounded by pretty horrible modern buildings. You go here for the superb sausages, though we did see people eating other things.... More

I've been to this restaurant during both of my visits to Nuremberg and the food has been great both times. The Nuremberg brats are very tasty as well as the potatoes and sauerkraut. I've also had their soup and it was good. The atmosphere is fantastic and you can see them cooking the brats as soon as you walk in.... More
