It is on the quieter stretch of Oranienstrasse (where there are not as many bars and clubs as further east). I think this restaurant has moderate price (though not "cheap" by Berlin standard) and very nice traditional decoration. There are two levels, so it never...More

Took the UBahn out to Max and Moritz and are so glad we did. Spectacular goulash soup, followed by schnitzel for me and meatballs for my husband. Great to dine at a neighborhood place full of locals with great food!

Great local pub to enjoy a beer and authentic German meals amongst real people - looks like a place where groups of friends come to gather for a laugh and to break bread.

This place gets busy but you can always sit at the bar or a large shared table by the window. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The food is delicious.

Good place for tryout local dishes. Staff very professional and kind. Fast service despite the place was full. The owner was so kind to find us a table in short time. Very good the Berliner Eisbein!

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
