Really enjoyed this small restaurant. Almost all tables were reserved and very popular. Had a range of foods between group. All were tasty and unique. Spicy too which is great for real Thai experience. Prices good. Out of the way so definately go by taxi. Restaurant happily arranged a return taxi for us.

We ate here on our first night. Their menu is extensive, I had tofu dish that was v tasty. My partner had a curry. Our six year old had Duck breast w rice. We had some nice appetisers too. We had a couple of beers to go with it. Tales Thai is a neighbourhood restaurant that we visitors were lucky... More

We stumbled across this restaurant on our first night in Berlin, we were staying around the corner. It was brilliant, what a find, great food, the starters were some of the best I've eaten. It really set the tone for a wonderful trip to Berlin. It's small and cosy and everyone working there was really helpful. As a tip when... More

The fried noodles with beef and vegetables and the green chicken curry were very delicious. It was a balmy evening so sitting outside was great. The staff are very friendly. Food takes a while to come out when it's busy, but not a big deal if you're not in a hurry. It's down a quiet street and is a gem... More

The staff and owner are very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is very good. The restaurant is clean. I ordered Laab Ped, Yum Taleh and pork with pepper gravy sauce. Laab Ped is very tasty, very authentic like I always have in Thailand. Yum Taleh and pork dish is very good as well. If you want to have the real... More

We did enjoy having dinner in this place during our recent visit to Berlin. Very nice food and service to a reasonable price. Is important to book in advanced as they use to be full.

The beef salad, the sate as well as the coconut soup were very delicous, the two curries we had as main course I would still rate as good but were a bit tame.

I have been to at least 3 other Thai restaurants in Berlin, but this one is the best in terms of authentic and tasty food. Excellent Tom Yam Kung with strong lemongrass flavour and tender shrimps (if I close my eyes and just taste I feel like being in Thailand), tasty duck, great chicken wings, perfect rice. With nicely chilled... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
