So pleased that we found this tavern which was busy on a Wednesday evening with locals and a few tourists. The menu was simple but the food was delicious. I am told that the beer was very good. What made our evening was the atmosphere,...the staff and the surroundings. Berlin needs to celebrate places like this.More

Authentic tavern-style eatery, which is popular with both locals and tourists. Great for something to eat, or just a few beers. The menu is limited but all done really well and the price is reasonable. Plenty of eggs, meats, cheeses and thick bread. Fast service....Cash only.More

Little brauhof offering beer, some table outside during summer days and good local food although menu is limited. The schnitzel is tender and it comes with tasty roasted potatoes which is is alternative to the usual cold potato salad. Simple but comfort food!

Iconic for a reason ... the location, size, deco, menu, pricing and staff are totally in keeping with the location ... Bruno S. would be proud. Highly recommended to experience real German city eating out in the 70s/80s.

The place is cold for November that we had our jackets on. There were loud sounds of man yelling and burping from the kitchen (right next to our tables) and loud phone sounds (tiktok videos and music simultaneously from different phones). The people attending the...place are not german (questioning the “authentic german cuisine”). Our waitress has obviously the flu or something as it could hardly breath from his nose and was making weird sounds. The food was oily and tasteless. On top of everything they did not accept card payment and was written anywhere, so they sent us to an automat to take cash without even apologizing. Would not recommend.More

I was introduced to this gem by friends years ago when they lived nearby. Family run and always buzzing. After a drink outside, trying to shelter from the rain, we were initially invited to the cellar until a table became available upstairs. The beer is...tasty, dark or light, and the portions of food generous. A real local bar but worth making the effort to travel to.More

If you want to eat like a local try this place. The food is very good the service is very fast and with a smile, and the prices are more than fair. All and all a very good choice for lunch or dinner.

Just arrived in Berlin and suggested by our hotel. Walked over and we were treated great...obviously tourists in a local place. Excellent schnitzel and potatoes and delicious cabbage! Waiter was very patient with all of our questions!

You can always tell a good restaurant by how busy it is with locals. So for 50 Euros for two we got great Wiener schnitzel with Bratkartoffeln, a large beer and two large glasses of wine. And great service. For want of a better way...to explain this, it is a “no-brainier’. 10 minute walk from Potsdamer Platz.More

We ate dinner here one evening about a year ago, sitting at the tables on the sidewalk. We shared meals of schnitzel and meat balls. The menu is basic and limited, but what we had was good, filling and felt like home cooked food (at...grandmas place perhaps). The decor of the old pub style fitted with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and service lending itself to interaction, so that we spent our meal talking with the policemen at the table next door. Tasty food, reasonable prices, fun atmosphere and good company made for an enjoyable evening out.More

You're probably already sorted, John O, but Stadtklause is open every day, and they would be able easily to accommodate seven people, but it is a very busy bar restaurant, so you might have to sit with others - No... More
