Lovely atmosphere and great traditional cooking. My husband and I both had the Viennese schnitzel and it was superb. Seemed to be a very popular place. Highly recommended!

We had out Kampo japanese medicine dinner here and the entire atmosphere was great, food was ok, but mostly they had a great entertainer, a guy who sings, dances and do stand up comedy,in the same time, and this was the best part of the evening.

The restaurant is set under the arches of the famous Friederichstrasse railway station. The decor is attractive, and it caters for a large number of individuals, couples and groups while retaining an intimate ambience. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the food traditional, tasty and reasonably priced. it gets busy during the rush hour, so check availability.

Great food and atmosphere. Lousy service! I will not be back! We were mistreated by the waiter Marcus who did not want to give his last name. At first It seems that he did not understand English. He would argue with everything I asked for. It seemed like he was doing us a favor by attending us.

Good German restaurant, you could imagine the antics her in the 1920s as the décor is probably identical to what it was then. Nice house special (meatball, schnitzel and bratwurst with friend potatoes, which was a good introduction to German cuisine. Good wine, beer and service.

To be honest, I even do not remember what did I order. Nolle is a very typical German restaurant – for tourists. Germans were not among guests. So I can't remember the meal, but I remember the Berlin specialty, the Berlin green beer. I had it more than 40 years ago for the first time, and they are still serving... More

I have been here many times for business dinner with colleagues. The restaurant is pretty big and a bit noisy. It offers a quite limited choice of dishes, most of them german, but at a high quality and reasonable prices. You can taste that everything is home made. The service is very good and the waiters explain the specialities in... More

Brilliant place, tasty food and reasonable price. The Nolle special is superb. Located in a railway arch with a traditional feel and relaxed vibe. Awesome

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
