Traditional German restaurants are traditionally not great places for Vegetarians, but this place had quite a few good options. The flambé was fantastic!

The service was amazing and my mother and I both enjoyed our meals and wine. Nice, relaxed place for good food and an enjoyable evening out.

Excelent food, very wel prepared, nicely presented, friendly staf, quick service, nice classy environment...No negative points, except maybe the annoying music, luckily quite enough not to disturb too much.

The food at this place is outstanding. Some people have commented about the staff. I have visited this place 3 times now and have found them kind of to-the-point and generally helpful. They will not rush you either; so don't expect the staff to bring the next course 3 seconds after the one ends or to rush you out the... More

Called in here for lunch on a weekend trip to Berlin. We all ordered the curry wurst special. Food was ok for what we paid for it.

We do not sell currywurst in our restaurant. Perhaps the wrong restaurant rated? Best regards from Berlin More

Let's start with the good...I'm a huge fan of art deco, and this place is dripping with period detail. Some of the food was spot on too. The soup, lobster bisque, with a marinated scallop (although I must admit that to my taste buds, the marinating added very little) was great. The main, rare lamb was generous, and went well... More

We were sent here at the last minute by our hotel and were warned that they were busy. Shortly after we were seated a group of 20+ students arrived, and to the consternation of the staff, brought 4 more people than they had originally reserved, including someone inn a wheel chair. They were in a small area next to us,... More

We were here for lunch with kids, and even kids menu was prepared perfectly, with proper sauce and decoration. Risotto and bouillabaisse were impeccable!

Very friendly staff, great surroundings, good food. But be prepared as, like others have said, it is a bit pricey. Bear that in mind, and you will have an enjoyable evening.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
