We went there for dinner with our two kids (10 & 7 years old). The atmosphere was really cool and cozy with candles on the tables. We really enjoyed our meal. The kids loved the Schnitzel, I had a super salad with goat cheese and my husband had a really tasty asparagus soup. The girl that served us was probably... More

Nice food at good prices. Schnitzel as thin as it's supposed to be with a nice crust around it. Service personal, funny but not overdoing it. Two downsides. On their website and Menu they communicate open for lunch Monday to Friday from 11am. We were at the restaurant at 11am and it was closed. The chef or kitchen aid accidentally... More

My boo and I came here for the spinach dumplings. We also had the Wiener Schnitzel. The beer was tall, and the people were very nice. For english, refer to the lady at the bar. She is very helpful. She let me taste the white wines, and translated menu items for us :) All the food was excellent, and a... More

First thing is that the restaurant has moved across the road to the corner. We ate outside - its located in a very residential area - lots of locals - we took a taxi here and they called for one when we left. The menu is all in German - but the waitress was able to translate enough - though... More

We went there , because we were longing for a good Schnitzel. Having lived in Berlin for most of my life I am always curios if something new comes up on the local Schnitzel market.. I was not too convinced about this one , though . It was a bit overdone - on the positive side - the restaurant is... More

This was my second visit. A wonderful menu and delicious food. But it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. Drinks service was also slow. What they really need is more staff. As this area is becoming more popular with tourists menus in English would be a good idea. I rate the food 5 stars. In summer it... More

We went there by coincidence. What a pleasant surprise. There is a nice outdoor area or a typical beer joint atmosphere inside. (we went inside) Besides the great beer (I had it) they have very good wine, reasonably priced. (Had it as well) Great food from Schnitzel to Zuericher Geschnetzeltes with Roesti. Good thing I don't live in Berlin. I... More

Good food (fantastic "schnitzel") in a new location near by the old one. Good beer and a large terace when the weather is fine. Good service on top ! Place to recommend in this fine preserved area of Berlin.

Locals recommended this restaurant to us when we were staying in the Hermannplatz neighborhood of Berlin. There was a short bill of fare on a chalkboard including: a deep-fried crepe stuffed with artichokes, potato and cheese; pork medallions with purple cauliflower and whipped potato; and a dessert made of pancake ribbons, sautéed apple chunks and vanilla ice cream (see pictures).... Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
