Good beer, nice atmosphere, I like it after full day walk in central streets. Relaxing drinks and good music. Recommended for friends and families

We arrived with high hopes for an authentic German pub meal experience - and were not disappointed. Service was also great - friendly and attentive.

We went to this small pub/restaurant on a Sunday evening after researching about local places on Tripadvisor and enjoyed it so much that we went again on Monday. Had escalope with roasted potatoes and it was sublime, friendly service too. Totally recommend it!

As value for money goes this place is great, really nice traditional German food at a reasonable price. Beer was also good and cold, friendly attentive staff. The restaurant is small so make sure to book, we didn't book and were lucky there was a table for two in the corner!

Great atmosphere. We had the schnitzel, it wasn't great, both dry and oily. However, everyone seemed to be having a good time. Maybe better to just order bar snacks and enjoy the beer.

Real German bar! We stopped here for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Food is full of flavour, the soup was delicious and the Berlinner platter was amazing, again so full of flavour and filling - and the lard bread was very tasty too! Beer was great and service good too!

It's hard to find somewhere in Berlin where you get good friendly service but this restaurant is definitely one of those. Very good German food, big portions, close to the metro, friendly staff make this restaurant a great option! I will make sure to come back and bring guests!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
