Was only walking past. Not sure if wanted a full blown meal or something snacky... well this was a perfect solution. Packed to the rafters but very efficient, friendly staff see that you're served as soon as possible. Would still advise to book ahead to avoid disappointment etc Recommend the wasabi prawns. Just keep ordering as you go. Haven't had... More

Food here was excellent, and the restaurant has a fun vibe. We found Transit when we searched for vegetarian restaurants near our hotel in Mitte, and we were able to get in to eat one of the two nights we tried. Make a reservation if possible!

Food was great but menus ripped and too dirty to touch, floor filthy & slippery. Pity that they cannot seem to afford a cleaning service

This is a rather hip Thai restaurant in the style of tapas . Lots of small dishes. We had ribs satay chicken chicken sweet and sour a gorgeous lime curry and egg fried rice. A couple of the dishes had chip marks ! But atmosphere and food decent and for two people with a coke and beer 45 Euro. Right... More

If you are in the area (i.e. staying at The Circus Hotel) and enjoy Asian food, this is a must do restaurant. Authentic Asian food, served tapas style, gives your the opportunity to try lots of different dishes. The main courses are also spot-on even if limited in choice. We came twice , left full both times and managed to... More

This place is just awesome. We have been about ten times since moving to Berlin. It's great for families, couples, friends, you name it. It's always packed so make a reservation. The food is always great, and served quickly. Recommendations: the pork belly, the green chicken curry and the duck wraps. But honestly, everything is divine. It's like Asian tapas,... More

The food is good and the prices are ok! But be prepared to a very noisy restaurant. The service is very fast and staff are friendly.

I'd describe this as more Indonesian than Thai or Vietnamese, but probably a fusion of many places. It's a great concept, with small dishes cooked freshly and self ordered by filling in a little menu pad (you are given the menu but then a little order pad and pencil). The green curry and Nasi Goreng were both superb and fresh... More

Loved this place as recommended by a German local- very tasty food that was very reasonably priced. 6 small dishes and 4 alcoholic drinks came to around 50 euros.

It is just chaos in that exciting way of ....are you going to get in, seated and served or have you to fight all the way? Travelled across town to get here as Asian delights we fancied....fought our way in despite queues out the door and most customers fairly youthful. Was not easy. Squeezed in, noise, bustle, find a table,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
