The spare ribs, duck, and curry were great! Expect to spend about 10 euros but the food tastes great and you'll be full.

The concept is lovely. Small Asian dishes. We ordered 4 of them. All were fresh and tasty. Service was very hospitable.

Was looking forward to this place, based on the great reviews. On a Saturday evening, all the inside tables were reserved so we were seated on the back patio. The tables were arranged so the waitress had to struggle through many diners to get to our table. She got our drinks order correct, but all went downhill from there. As... More

Asian tapas - who would have thought? For 3€ per bowl, treat your mouth to some exploding fresh flavours. I couldn't get over how tasty everything was. And no MSG! The atmosphere at the place was lovely too. Can get super busy so get in early or book a table for a half hour or so later. I'm so sad... More

I first came across this place by chance as it happened to be nearby to my accommodation, but was so impressed that I made a note of it and returned on my next visit to Berlin. Characterised by fantastic quality and unrivalled speed of service, Transit handles the 'Tapas' format brilliantly and at 3€ a dish it is great value.... More

The service was friendly and I have to admit that I do like their concept! The food was in general good - some dishes were very delicious, others were ok. But as a Vietnamese, I recommend you this place because they do offer traditional Vietnamese food!

A busy restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and a helpful and efficient staff. The menu consists of a number of small dishes - we were two and had 6 different dishes with a side of noodles. That wsn't quite enough. I would recommend 7 or 8 per 2 persons. You will also find larger maincourses on the menu, but the... More

Food was really tasty. The place is based on appetisers type of sizes. Each dish is 3 euro and bowl of rice is 1 euro. To eat fully you'll need 2-3 bowls, which means, you can try a few different dishes. I liked the ordering system in the place - you check your numbers on a pad, on the table... More

The reception of the circus hotel recommended this place and we were not dissapointed. We had to wait for a table because it was very busy but they work very fast! Food is great, every plate cost you €3,- and for 2 persons 6 different plates and some rice is more than enough. Unfortunately it's not a full night out.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
