Asked some questions about the menu, to which the waitress responded impatiently and unhelpfully. She also made a rude passing comment because my boyfriend does not speak German. I then went inside and heard her call me a word to my face in Mandarin that means troublesome/irritating. She was completely rude and obviously didn't think I could understand Chinese. Not... More

Many Asian restaurants in Berlin offer appalling, MSG-ified "eingedeutschte" Asian dishes, so I was pretty happy to find that the Chinese restaurant in closest proximity to my apartment is awesome. My toddler LOVES the dumplings, I love the garlic eggplant, the crispy duck, the prawns... as well as the dumplings. Oh... those dumplings. They are the reason why this place... More

number 1 on the menu is just amazing, prawn, ham and egg dumplings, fried (braten). 20 sounds like a lot, but it's just right for one person. There's so much more on the menu, but I just can't turn those little beauties down.

I've been here more than once to eat dumplings in particular. You can choose between different kinds of them. The place is nice and the atmosphere is always friendly. The food is amazing!

I had this one on my list for a while already but so far it didn't work out but today was the day... 😊 I love dumplings! No matter whether it's the russians or the chinese but these were quality. 😉 Because I wanted to try them all I asked whether it's possible to try them all and when the... More

The food was delicious and inexpensive. we were looking for somewhere to eat dinner, and were recommended to go here by a kindly passer-by. We had spring rolls (good) Kaofu Mischgemuese (which was an incredible combination of flavours, and two sorts of jiaozi. We had not come across them before, but they were a bit like ravioli on steroids. With... More

Food was ok, the service was not very friendly. Needed to ask for the bill 3-4 times until we actually got it. They accept only cash and no EC cards/credit cards..

I love jiaozi (Chinese dumplings). For the 9 years that I lived in China, I ate them at least twice a week. Since leaving, I've learned that it is very hard to find good jiaozi but this place has them! Their hot dishes (as some others have mentioned) are not very good and their kaofu was way oversauced but the... More

List of reason why I go to Wok Show almost every week: - delicious assortment of Chinese dumplings (the restaurant offer more than 10 options, some vegetarian). - I keep coming back to try to figure which is my favorite (try squid with pork, it's super); - it's perfect for big groups (the smallest portion is 20 dumplings of one... Took a chance and travelled to try Won Show. The first 3 pages of the menu were of dumplings which only goes to show that it's the house specialty. Go hungry As the minimum dumplings per portion is 20. Ordered the cold chicken appetizer. Its taste great with the sesame/peanut sauce. Tofu was out of stock hence no mapo tofu.... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
