We had an average meal here this week. It was a bit off putting to see the remains of meals being scraped into a plastic tomato ketchup bucket perched on s shelf just behind my mums head. I had high hopes for this place but was a bit disappointed 😞

We visited Emma's on our last night in Berlin. It's a modern place , not traditional at all but the food was exceptional. We ordered the shared mixed starter and then the schnitzel and saltimbocca. All the food was delicious. The service was also very friendly. Will definitely revisit next time we're in Berlin.

Has a chalkboard wall to entertain the kids. Loved the schnitzel best I had while in the area. Would highly recommend dropping by and only a short walk from museum island.

This place has great food with a low key atmosphere. When I visited, there were only a few other tables that were occupied. The staff was very attentive and checked in on more than one occasion. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with sautéed potatoes and it was fantastic. I highly recommend this dish. The location is a bit tucked away... More

Order the schnitzel. Get the sautéed potatoes. The fried cheese starter was delicious too. Wow what an incredible meal! And the service was wonderful. You can also order beer in a boot, though we declined this time :)

We had a fantastic dinner at Emmas. The restaurant is really cozy, the staff was wonderful and everything we ordered tasted great. They have at least three baby chairs and the restaurant was very family-friendly, the chef whipped up some veggies and rice for our baby. The schnitzel was the best I've had in Germany and the beer was good,... More

This is the best Schnitzel restaurant for the money in Berlin! The salads are fantastic and the dressings are truly unique. The side dishes of potatoes are also truly outstanding. The service here is very pleasant and attentive as well. Emma's is one of my very favorite restaurants in Berlin and I bring visit delegations here for business dinner.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
