This place is awesome!!! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we had a great table in the corner, overlooking everything. But the food is amazing. I have had good food in my life before, but this place is by far the best. The different tastes go so well with each other and even change in your mouth while eating.... More

My husband & I celebrated our 29th year wedding Anniversary here after hearing about it from friends. We were seated in the best table, I think close to the entry and able to see the kitchen. Our server was quite knowledgeable. Hubby ordered a 9 course and I did the 4 with mostly seafood. We were each given our own... More

I am Asian who knows a good duck, and they didn't disappoint me! This is a rock star michelin star restaurant - loved the vibe and the unusual concept of the restaurant (fake chinese paintings, big garbage painting hanging on the main dining area, waiters wearing chuck taylor shoes, etc.).

A very stylish, modern restaurant with a warm atmosphere, young, attentive and satisfied staff (at least they give the impression of love to work there). There's a consequent no carb approach with a mid sized menu, à la carte and signature menus available, the food has simple to remember names. I had the 4 course signature with brussels sprouts, zander,... More

Booked this place on a bit of a whim while planning my trip to Berlin. The food here is phenomenal. New, interesting combinations (Sprouts and banana, who knew!) that are beautifully cooked and the menu is compiled so all of your senses get a little go! The menu has some particularly high points, mainly the deer massaman and that soy... More

One of my absolute favorites in Berlin! High-end cuisine with Asian influences. Been here first in 2010 and absolutely loved it. The restaurant did not change, may be only to the better. Tried their “8” menu, which was just enough, not too much, but very satisfying. One of our party was a vegetarian and the restaurant accommodated perfectly to her... More

Asian flavours with European treatment gives an interesting mixture. The experience was overall more than satisfactory, The service was friendly and efficient, prices normal for this type of cuisine.

I have been in many restaurants in my life and I will never say this is in the top50 around the world. In a 2 Michelin star restaurant you expect high prices, good service and a new experience. For us it was one expensive place without really tasty meals and awful service. Please check my pictures... Would you serve a... More

My wife and I visited Berlin and it happened to coincide with Chinese New Year. Having lived in China for a year some time ago we booked a table at Restaurant Tim Raue as a treat. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant is just around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie and accessed through a quiet courtyard. On arrival the service was... More

Now we didn't know this was a Michelin Star restaurant when we went in but soon realised we were in a seriously good place. Service fantastic, the food was just tremendous and overall an amazing experience. Go here.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
