Food good and plentiful and well priced. What would they do if you don't carry enough Euro?? A very poor attitude or don't they want to pay taxes?

The portions are huge and the prices are great. The tomato soup tasted like a bowl of marinara sauce but the spaghetti carbonara was quite good. For something fun to drink try the Berliner Kindl Weisse -- it's a colorful and sweet beer.

Excellent pizza. Big portions. We have taken Pizza Stagione and Pizza Marinelli. Really, these two portions are good for 3 people. Very delicious. Recommended.

We went for dinner here on our first night as it was near the hotel and thought the food was good and service good but unfortunately nothing special. Pizzas were nice but having ordered the three pastas I was a little disappointed, one lacked flavour and the portion for all three was quite small. Needed garlic bread or a side... More

We thought that the food was only just average - it was not authentic Italian pizza, but the pasta was quite nice. I had the misfortune of sitting with a view into the kitchen. One of the chefs took a pizza out of the oven and the owner walked past and plucked one of the toppings off the pizza and... More

It's another ok but. Short of vegetarian options at the hotel I was directed here. The food was ok, the service indifferent. No cards, they tell you at the end, but they trust you to come back from the nearby cash point.

A traditional lasagna, well served, with a glass of a good red wine costs 17.5 euros. However, I've already ate better lasagnas. Good service.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
