There are many Tapas places in the area, it seems to be popular in this part of Berlin. We ordered a mix of plates, soups, and salads and everything was above our expectations. Ventura was not overly priced, a great interior decor, and a long, well priced happy hour with a large selection. I would recommend it for a dinner... More

I went together with my sister, we had a reservation and a Groupon voucher for a Tapas plate for 2 persons and two glasses of Cava. We were given menu cards immediately which was confusing but then I clarified to the waiter that we would like to eat right away and have the Cava and that we would decide later... More

We alway's pop down on the tram to the Prenzlauer Berg area of Berlin as we think it is a nice relaxing part of this city with some very interesting establishment's such as VENTURA TAPAS BAR. We had read some of the negative trip advisor review's so only went for some drink's ,the restaurant itself look's amazing,a fantastic eyecatching exterior... More

Great tapas place in Prenzlauer. The food is really good and great value compared to the prices. you can sit outside, and real cosy in the summer time.

Outside of the restaurant, all the signs show the brunch at 11,90 euros, and they apparently just received a good review from Brunch in Berlin for their Brunch at 11,90... But once inside, they make you pay 13,90 euros for it. They changed the price on their menu and pretend that they don't know that the (huge) signs outside promote... More

We did not plan on going for Spanish food tonight but the cold Berlin wind was blowing so we tucked into Ventura. The seafood paella for two and the mushroom tapas was wonderful and filling. The service was excellent in both German and English.

So many better options in this area! Old food with little taste. Fat, mayonaise and oil everywhere. Chicken tasted as if it was Deep-frosted several times. The only eatable food were croissants and broccoli. Absolutely overpriced!

General Avoid!!! A solid 1/3rd to half of the review on here are clearly fake. Having just had my birthday ruined by this place and getting robbed blind for 26 euros 50 I would warn anyone off it. Service This is probably the worst part, if I could give 0 stars I would. After an extremely bland, expensive, low quality... More

I went with my colleagues to this restaurant for the lunch break. Before ordering the food, we asked the waiter if it was a problem at the end of the meal to provide us individual receipts for each of us (we need documentation as our company pay us the lunch back). The guy stared at us for 20 seconds whitout... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
