In Berlin and in need of some fresh fish and this place delivered in spades. Despite a wait it was excellent fish washed down with some very reasonable German wine. Staff very friendly and do speak English. Very good value for your euros.

Was recommended this place by our walking tour guide a... And it lived up to the hype! We had the fish platter for 2 and we're delighted at how amazingly delicious it was! Fish was so fresh and the taste amazing! Highly recommended as the platter also comes with wine! Make sure you try the aoli too!

This is a typical fish and chips place where one can have fish and chips made to order from different fish types that are available that day. Prices are reasonable. This one being located inland in Germany has just the standard basic fish meats (salmon, tuna, cod, turbot) and a few shell fish (vongole, shrimp). One can also just buy... More

So I'm no connoisseur but the fish and chips are to die for. The batter is both fluffy and crispy and the fish within is substantial. The chips are fresh and well seasoned. The dish is served with tasty dipping sauces as well. They take care in making the food, so it'll take a few minutes but it's well worth... More

I was looking for a fish restaurant in Berlin, and Fishfabrik caught my eye. We ordered two fish portions and oysters as a starter. They were all excellent!

It is always fresh fish and perfect service. All products are well served and you can't hear any smell of cooked fish in a bad way.

A friend and I sat down at an outside table around 7 pm. Our waitress was friendly and brought us a seemingly large seafood platter for 2 people. Upon closer inspection, over half was salad and roasted potatoes. The quantity of fish wasn't what my friend had experienced during her last visit. It seems that maybe when they run out... More

We were looking for a fish restaurant on google and stumbled upon this place, it was our first night in Berlin and we didn't have much time to mess around and do much in the way of research, the internet was not great, we were tired and hungry! Upon arrival I thought we had made a mistake, I wanted to... More

When we arrived, this tiny place was packed. Within a couple minutes a table opened up and we were happily ensconced. Just looking at the other dishes being served confirmed what we hoped -- good seafood, good portions. As mentioned in other reviews, the guys who run this restaurant are serious about their food, but fun to watch and talk... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
