We went to eat there late and without reservation on a Saturday evening, but of course this place was crowded as apparently (not surprised) it was popular l. Since we couldn't get a table for five, we decided to return for a lunch the very next day and glad that we did. First of all the staff was so nice... More

In the middle of Kreuzberg, near the canal there is a little blue place. Breakfast/brunch menù is various (English, French, German, Greek etc) and satisfactory. I especially recommand 'The large for two': It's cheap, with only 12 € there are egg&bacon, different type of cheese, salame, bread, butter and jam and some fruits.

Maybe a okay pub but do not bother in the daytime or with the food, or non-alcoholic drinks. The coffee tasted like instant.

Love this pub mainly Because it's the first pub we went to in Berlin . Lovely setting just by the river and just i the street corner meaning you can just sit back and watch the world go by. Been a few and if doe the staff has changed and always found them happy, polite and always happy to help... More

Very cool location right at river Spree. Outside u sit right at the river or at the front right at lively street scene. Inside cool navy interior. Always good music and very good food.

If you think it's cool to get begged while eating some food by a homeless person inside of the bar, then you should go here. If you want eat in peace, without a 'not-so-nice' smell in your nose, then don't go here.

Berlin is a schlampa with an arrogant and overblown sense of it's own charms but now it is a schlampa with money who can pick and choose its own clients.BUYER BEWARE. You will see why I mention this following my trip to Anker Klause: having lived in Berlin for 7 years,I never go here, but a friend wanted to visit,... More

As long as I know Berlin, I know the Ankerklause as one of the favorite hang-outs in Kreuzberg, wether a late breakfast at the waterside, a coffee in the sun after visiting the market at Maybachufer or for some drinks at night. Ankerklause is a lways a save spot with lots of fun. Legendary dancingnights on Thursday - do not... More

Staying in Neukolln

Neighbourhood Profile
No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
