Bit of a strange one for me. I initially went because of the cocktail views. Going to the bar itself was a bit like a 70s swingers living room. The drinks were nice (and bloody strong) but we were the only two people in there- at 9.30 at night. If it was a full house I'm sure it would be... More

What a super cool place with the 70's decoration, music and people. Perfect vibe for late night drinks, and old school spanish vinyl is played the entire night.

Smoking allowed so go prepared to come out smelly! Nice 70s decor - retro wallpaper; relatively small; overpriced cocktails. Alright but nothing amazing.

Has been one of my favourites for a while, try to visit whenever I'm in Berlin. Interior is funky, music great (love vinyls!), crowd is friendly and bartenders always a good chat. Really good White Russians and I'm hooked on Hong Kong 73.

Well worth checking out if in Berlin. Dark, cool music, little alcoves, mixed crowd. Try a cocktail perhaps. Close to Schleseiches Tor. Enjoy.

I love this place. DJs are interesting, drinks are good, lots of places to sit, open ridiculously late, service always friendly. I drink here a lot.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
