Came here to watch the Scotland v England Six Nations game, (less said about the result the better), atmosphere was great, Scots, English, Irish, etc. all enjoying the game. Kilkenny went down a treat. Recommended.

Don't let the bad reviews put you off. We went here fancying something other than a wurst (we'd had that the past 3 days!) and opted for the King Size OSCAR Wilde Burger and were not disappointed. Great Bar, Good Beers, Friendly staff and good prices. Thumbs up from us.

Being Irish I like a good Irish pub! Having travelled the world and lived in many continents I enjoy them. You feel welcomed and a little bit at home. You can chat and it's just a warm openness I enjoy - in most, but this one. We recently moved to Berlin. We visited the Oscar Wilde having been there once... More

Being in Berlin for a week, The Oscar Wilde soon became a daily visit. They had sports on the TV's, live music on certain nights and were very reasonably priced for drinks. The staff were really nice and chatty too.

Worked around the corner from this place, so we went there quite a few times. For a late afternoon pint and a snack it is fantastic. Only complaint would be that music selection must be from whoever is working that day. The food is very inconsistent. Some day it is very good. Other days it is terrible. We generally just... More

Found this pub close to the hotel we were staying. We were pleased to find out that we could watch Plymouth vs Liverpool! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was was good (shepherds pie was actually cottage pie :) as was the service. Lovely atmosphere. Plymouth unfortunately lost, but it didn't ruin our evening.

Just come back from a weekend in Berlin with the lads. We called in on Saturday for a quick pint and ended up staying all night. We were welcome into the rear bar where they had a band on with a singer. They let others get up and sing a song, and there was this one lass from Ireland who... More

Went in for live music, found a corner table fairly easily, had some good beers for about 5 E each. Guitar player was nothing special but did the job.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
