We stopped in for a coffee and cafe at lunchtime on NYE and the place was buzzy, if a bit busy. The coffee was good and the service was friendly. We didn't go at night, but it looks from walking past as though this place becomes a nice chilled bar in the evening too.

We´ve been here last weekend for breakfast. The atmosphere in this restaurant is cool and nice. The variaty of food is good. You get free wifi and can sit eather downstairs or upstairs. - Unfortunately they don´t serve the meals. So you have to stay at the front desk and order your coffee or food. That takes sometimes really long.... More

The coffee is good. It's got a nice atmosphere. The banana bread was not good - too dry and too salty. The service was semi- friendly. They prepared the wrong sandwich for my boyfriend. Apparently this was ok (I could not try due to ingredients). I would not go back here.

I was in search for a nice, quiet place to get some work done. The food and drinks were delicious and I got so much done. Perfect.

Did not eat here but used the bar as place tho unwind after exploring Berlin and would fully recommend it. We drank there for 3 nights and were very well looked after by all the staff we came in contact. Especially by a young lady from France (Alsace) who was just "perfect"......thanks very much!! Good drinks and decent background music... More

Nice building and place to work, plenty of power points. Unfortunately the barista was pretty bad... I saw someone ordering an espresso and it was even less quantity than a ristretto. I ordered a chai latte and that was pretty much milk with cinnamon. I don't recommend ordering anything that is made by the barista.

St. Oberholz is a restaurant/bar/workspace in a great location. It's always pretty full with MacBooks and people (in no particular order) but if you can get a table, it's great to work or meet with friends. Upstairs area has a nice view on the crossing.

The staff are friendly enough, not sure about the comment below saying they are rude to tourists.. I've been here three times in two years and have always felt welcome. If you've got some work to do and fancy a coffee it's the go to place, it's also a perfect place to meet your friends in the evening before heading... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
