As someone who loves Indian food, I have been here about 4 times so far and it's time for a review. Yes, as someone pointed out, the decor is kitsch So what - it's an Indian restaurant, and if you want contemporary then be ready for the snobby prices. Now, the food. Every time I was here, I had lamb,... More

We heard so many good things about this place that we had to visit. The first thing that hits you when you get there is the very very strong smell and very tackly kitch decor. But that still didnt' put us off fully. Unfortunately, we had already eaten, so decided to simply order a nice Indian tea and some dessert.... More

The duck that I had was great and my fellow companions were also very happy with their dishes. The service was also good, our server always nerby with service and humor. Great Indian atmosphere. A place to visit.

Dear Harbindermalhot..., thank you so much for your visit and for your review. I am sad to hear that you were not completely satisfied by your visit in our restaurant. Of course, Lamm Tikka Masala comes in a curry sauce. Yet we also have regular Lamm Tikka, which is served on the sizzling plate. I dont know what went wrong,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
