Nola's is a must do every visit to Berlin. We always have the fondue and if in winter we eat in the charming restaurant, if Summer then on the outside deck which has a lovely sunset view. Very reasonable prices - a real value.

We just had dinner there and service was poor. Very slow, messed up orders and no feeling for the guests needs. 2 of 2 steaks were overcooked, the rest of the food was mediocre. They managed to bring new steaks in a good timing but no apologies afterwards. Service had no idea how to manage our not so happy feedback.... More

Dear dax_ba That sounds like the review now one is proud of and it is defently not what we expect our service to be. It would be very helpful to know the exect day and time you have been at our restaurant, since it is easier to find out who was on duty. Since we are open 15hours a day... More

You might not expect to find It here, right in the heart of old Berlin, but this is a typical Swiss restaurant that offers great Rösti and Fondue. You feel like in Switzerland while watching the lovely Weinberg outside. The restaurant is located in a very interesting old part of the city. Tourists hardly go here. It is a place,... More

I've actually never been to a fondue place, so I was really excited to try Nola's. The ambiance is very ski-lodge esque and quite warm and inviting. I went with 1 friend and we wanted to try the Classic Fondue. Our waiter (who was tentative to our needs when he came by but the service overall was REALLY slow) suggested... More

everytime I have come here the service has been inexistent. 37 minutes waiting for 1 coffee... never came. gave feedback to the manager, she just shrugged, didn't care. not even an apology. terrible attitude to service, which extends across the staff.

Lunch was better (maybe because of sunny terrace) but fondue was small disappointment. People were eating big salads so it could be also your choice.

We ate on the terrace which was lovely and probably the best part about the meal. Service was slower than most and the food was average. I think our original server left for the day after taking our order because we waited forever for our meals. Other tables came and went and still we sat. Luckily, it was a beautiful... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
