It's not quiet it's Spanish. It's loads it's busy but it's fantastic. Our waiter was superb. We had 14/15 people on a stag weekend. We were one and half hours late they gave us appetisers to eat and beers. The food was great and great value. An absolute wonderful place. We had tapas and a huge steak feed. We felt... More

Atmosphere A wonderful little place with a great atmosphere and decent food and drink for a decent price. It's fairly tightly packed, but that only adds to the atmosphere seeming friendly and lively. There was a Spanish-guitar player who serenaded us with lively Spanish music. The waiter was fun and familiar, joking around with our German friend. Food and drink... More

We visited Berlin for a couple of days and went to El Borroquito on our first night. We didn't think we would get a table as it was packed however as soon as we walked in and asked, we were asked to wait a couple of minutes and we're immediately handed some sort of complimentary drink. The menu was in... More

I spend a few evenings at El Borriquito and I've never been disappointed. If you're looking for a quite and peaceful place to have dinner, El Borriquito is definitely not your place to be. But you will love it if you're looking for something rustical with noises and some action. This place is around for over 35+ years and known... More

I advise you to go there...the food is just fantastic either the meat or the fish..the taste is just like in Spain!! The atmosphere is between Cuba and Spain! The decoration is not so perfect but we do not care when people are so gentle, when the food is so tasty and the music perfect!! Enjoy your time and go... More

Food order was not placed at same time, too chaotic , prices ok but the food quality not what I expected, Chorizo frito was almost raw , and what is the point of frying gambas with flour with the shell??? All in all not impressed, had much better elsewhere

Recommended by the hotel staff as a Spanish tapas bar. Busy place, with limited outdoor seating. Main drawback was the menu - no English version so difficult to order if you don't speak German! Waiter was helpful, but menu was not tapas, just usual a la carte. Food was good, but would have preferred to choose other options, if only... More

We spent 6 1/2 hours here on a Monday evening with a group of 10 friends. Now granted we had an insider who is a (very) regular patron and he certainly got us special attention. It is a fascinating environment to absorb through your meal. The servers, and owner, are so very friendly and sociable while also being professional. The... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
