I'd been there with my family just tonight. The place is very nice and quite. We, all 4, ate fish in different way. It was great in all the ways. They were very kind to accommodate my daughter intolerance. The price maybe is a bit over the average

We are frequent guests to this restaurant and have built up enough faith to not look into the menu anymore. We tell the lovely waiter to surprise us with 2 or 3 courses and wines of his choice and are never disappointed. Wines are exclusively from Sicily, food is creative, no pizza, no vitello tonnato and the stuff you'd expect... More

We have been reading reviews about this place and were really excited and looking forward to trying it. Having had Italian food before in Berlin, and had great food (Im Italian), I was quite excited. I had some Caponata with pecorino and though to have something afterwards. The food was totally full of salt and an even saltier origano sauce,... More

This place has one of the best antipasti plates I have had in the world! Nice variation and although I do not like eggplant, they may have converted me!!!! Presentation beautiful. Only negative was some fish bones. Otherwise. Superb experience!

An excellent unassuming but terrific Sicilian restaurant. They know what to do with fish and have terrific Sicilian Nero d'Avola. Don't miss

Our experience here was very good. The entrees plates were quite interesting. The owner is really nice, very helpful and replaced the first wine we had which wasn't the best. Everything was great overall, the food was really good and original.

This place came highly recommended by a friend of my husband's. We went on a Saturday right when they open at 6. The restaurant is really conveniently located near U Schönleinstraße on the U8 in a beautiful section of Kreuzberg. Like others have said, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The homemade bread was especially fresh and delicious... More

While living in Berlin Sept-Dec 2015, I discovered this lovely restaurant in the neighborhood. I ate here at least 8 times and finally arranged a dinner party for 20 people coming from out of town. The food, service, and atmosphere have always been wonderful. The dishes are creative Italian-inspired with a leaning towards Sicilian cuisine. My wife and I have... More

Two different folks recommended this Italian spot??? Service was great, super friendly and prices were very reasonable (particularly by New York standards). Ambience was pleasant but nothing special. I found pasta with ragu to be tasty but nothing noteworthy (to be fair my wife thought it was indeed excellent). Burrata appetizer also good, but frankly nothing special either. All in,... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
