Atmosphere lovely but plato for 2 was terrible. Dry, greasy and stale. Big shame. Only go for drinks if you come.

We were lucky to arrive in time for happy hour cocktails. Enjoyed sampling a range of drinks which were delicious. Incredible value given their quality (and potency). Lovely, friendly service and great prices.

Fabulous ambience with fun and friendly staff and customers. We were here quite late on the Friday and without realizing I had left my purse on the bar ( few too many scoops most probably!). Walked out and around the block only to find the staff outside looking for us to return my purse. Try this place for a drink... More

Took twenty minutes for them to clean a table for us. The waitress was one of the rudest people I've ever been served by who visibly rolled her eyes at us when we asked anything and threw the food on the table. We asked for small normal changes to menu items, like adding cheese or a sauce on the side... More

The bar is very good - considering that it lies in the heart of touristy Berlin. The cocktails are good (happy hour is until 21h), the food only average. The atmosphere --- a mixture of authentic Caribbean and tourism off the rack.

We had just been to the wonderful Que Pasa bar and restaurant and as this bar looked really lively and we had a great time in here last year we thought we would revisit here. The bar look's cool with superb Cuban posters and enamels on the wall's and superb paintings all over the bar area with plenty of seating... More

My teenage daughter chose this as it was near our hotel. Restaurant was not impressive, so was not expecting much, but they put all their effort into the food. Very, very good. Prices are reasonable. My only complaint, the noise level was high as the evening wore on.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
