Fantastic service and delicious reasonably priced desserts and drinks. The rum-flavored hot chocolate was exquisite, as were the small chocolate desserts. Located on the first floor with a stunning view to the Deutscher Dom, this restaurant has it all; definitely worth a try.

Nice to see the statues from chocolate but nothing more as its very pricy and the deserts upstairs are not the best in my opinion.

If you love chocolate, this is the right place to go ! This chocolate paradise sells amazing chocolate and pralines for every occasion. You can also look at the "Brandenburger Tor" and other sightseeing attractions of Berlin made out of chocolate there.

What a treat. The chocolate shop busy and bustling with people. The meal, all items bread, starters, mains all featuring chocolate AND to my surprise not sweet at all. The chocolate-featured desserts absolutely yummy too. An experience NOT to be missed.

Any visitor to Berlin should plan to spend some time in this fine chocolate purveyor's shop. The products are first class, the cocoa is to die for and the stunning artistic creations out of chocolate will amaze you.

This is definitely a must-do on your trip to Berlin. If you have limited time stop in the chocolate shop and pick up some chocolate to go. If you have more time you can stop in the chocolate cafe or chocolate restaurant. They also have chocolate models of Berlin architectural sites!

An amazing place with enormous chocolate sculptures, fantastic chocolates and a great cafe upstairs. We went after seeing checkpoint charlie just up the road and had a rest in the cafe after walking round the city most of the day. We got there about 1600 on a Sunday and there were quite a few free tables. I had a mini... More

We did a family (ages 10-55) holiday visit to the Rausch Café in December and it was great fun for all of us. I reserved a table couple of weeks in advance (recommended), we got good service and the cakes and our drinks, coffee and hot chocolates, were all very tasty! We also liked to look around in the shop... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
