We were at Burgermeister for dinner and we had the most delicious burgers ever, the prices were surprisingly low (~5 euro/burger) and the quality was great! We really recommend this place!

Thoroughly enjoyed the burgers and very pleased we bothered queuing. Always a good sign when there is a queue that doesn't ever disappear. Avoid the rush hour. A quick eat as they only have outside bar tables with lean against 'stools' Good choice of beer and burger toppings.

The burger itself is excellent, but what really did it for us was the whole package. Perfectly toasted bun, fresh veggies, everything was top notch.

This is a great place to experience Berlin (kreuzberg) and enjoy a greasy burger. It's the closest thing to In n Out that I've found in Germany!

If you plan to visit here you should expect to queue for about 20 mins to order and another 20 to collect your food. Suggest ordering a few drinks for whilst you are waiting and not arriving STARVING as I did. It is good value, paid approx 8€ for a burger + fries + Coke. Worth a visit if in... More

I don't say this lightly, but it was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten in my life. 30min wait in the queue was totally worth it, be patience. Enjoy!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
