One of the better places in Hamburg to have a good piece of fish or a fantastic plate of octopus! A traditional place close to the Fishmarket this is a must if you crave North Sea fish and other sea living creature dishes. You will find your average Joe, tourist or ship-owner eating next to each other...!

Very good place, fresh seafood and friendly staff! We arrived late in the evening right before kitchen was about to be closed, but they took our order, and we were happy to celebrate my wife's birthday! Prices are very affordable - 1/2 of lobster ~ 22 EUR, oysters ranging from 1.9 to 3.2 EUR per piece, decent choice of wines.... More

I discovered this place only by accident searching for the fish market and i must admit it was the best find for a while. The service is swift and very friendly, the oysters are very fresh ( didn't know that holland produces oysters) and all main dishes are freshly cooked and delicious. I really enjoyed the stay hence i had... More

This review is biased - I love this restaurant!!! They are the best place for fish and seafood in Hamburg. Have tried many dishes and not one was not perfect. Usually skip breakfast to have an early lunch so I get the best pick... recommend you do the same ;-)

I visited Hummer Pedersen on a friday afternoon and enjoyed a lovely "hummer" and a sweet desert. The restaurant is warm, bright and has many windows. Afterwards you can go for a walk at the river Elbe and enjoy the view on the Hamburg haven.

the best and freshest Calamari Padegonia i have ever had! I have eaten this many times in many restaurants in countries all over the world. If you are in Hamburg, and you like Calamari, you must try this place!

My favorite spot for oysters and lobster in Hamburg. Laid back and not posh. Nice terrace with river view. Service good as well.

We had the mixed fish for lunch. Very tasty and at less than 10€, very nicely priced! The restaurant was busy when we came in at 12.30, and we were lucky to get seated straight away. I will definitely be back here but will make sure to book a table, to avoid disappointment.

Had lunch with my mother in Saturday afternoon. It was busy, but service was quick and friendly. Food was very good, especially the coquilles. Will definitely go back and try the lobster
