If you want a taste of the local cuisine, this is the place to go! Excellent food, great beer and great service. It was so good we went back a second night! And you won't leave hungry.

I was in Hamburg on business and was recommended this restaurant by the hotel. Enjoyed a very good schweinshaxe and my colleague highly rated the Nuremberg sausages. Good service and pleasant homely atmosphere.

We had dinner with 4 people. One in a wheelchair. Easy accessible and very friendly and helpful staff made a warm welcome. The dinner was delicious. Real German, very tasteful, accompanied by a nice glas of red wine. Taste/flavors ware great and prices were reasonably, so we really recommend this place. Situated in the centre of Berlin, within walking distance... More

The schweinshaxe was delicious. It was warm and crispy outside and juicy and tender inside. The pints of beer were great and the service was fast. This restaurant felt authentically German without being gimmicky.

Nice quiet beer house for a quick lunch and refreshment. Good value for money and the Nuremberg sausages are a must try!

On 2 – March, 2017 I had the pleasure of dinning at Franziskaner in Hamburg, Germany. The vienerschnitzel is so tender that it melts in your mouth. Paired with a side of fries and dark Lowenbrau, this makes for an exquisite meal. The portions were ample. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. This restaurant is... I loved this little restaurant; the ambience was great, the hospitality was superb and the food which was reasonably priced and generously portioned was also very good. I did struggle slightly with my dish because the mashed potatoes were substituted for boiled potatoes (because of my dairy allergy) and I found them a little dry after a while but there... More

Looking at the menu, I thought this may be a gem. How wrong I was. The food here is not good at all. Very dry, with little taste to anything. No problems with service, and reasonably priced, just not good. Sourkraut tasted litake it was made in a shoe!
