Found it! For years I had looked a for a Greek restaurant (outside Greece) that offers more than grilled beef and fries. Now I have to look no further. This is greek cuisine at its best. A good indicator is the number of Greeks that travel far to come here. The daily offerings always have meat, fish and veggie options.... More

We went to this greek restaurant years ago, it was really good back then. Unfortunately it is not anymore. The starters are ok, nothing out of the ordinary though. The bread was stale. The fish was dry, the grilled calamari burned und the filet steak was so tough I could not really cut it. We let the waiters know about... More

The food is amazing , the service is very very good. We come here for years and was always very good. They have a beautiful terasse in summer on the back. I recommend especially the baby calamari and lamb chops. Not expensive.

Very cozy restaurant, always crowded (make a reservation), excellent food (the calamari are amazing!!) and a good atmosphere. Prices are ok for a Greek restaurant. Only thing to be improved is the tzatziki! Had better - and a good tzatziki is important for a Greek restaurant (especially when it goes with the calamari). Still a great place to go, have... More

We have visited the restaurant twice in two years during business. We travel very much and very often. The place is of the two most memorable restaurants for us during traveling in almost 37 countries for business. Highly recommended!!

I might have spent the rest of my life in Frankfurt without ever going to this restaurant, but I was invited -- twice! -- and I never turn down a free meal. This is a family-run place, and the service is personal. The matron has a great sense of humor. She started us off with a nice greek olive oil... More

I love going back to Nibelungenschaenke, again and again and again. The food is fantastic, they have a changing seasonal menu. The best part about eating here are the starters, make sure you and your party order the mixed cold and hot starters. You will not regret it! The service is generally very good (though on occasion some of the... More

Everything you eat is delicious there! The place is beautiful and well decorated. There is a specific area for the smokers. The service is very kind and fast! The variety and the portions of food are more than satysfying! I would undoubtly recommend this place!

Went there with a colleague because I read on a German celiac site that this Greek restaurant, known as "Frankfurt's Edelgrieche" (Gourmet Greek), knew how to accommodate people who need to eat gluten-free. The server was indeed not only friendly but very familiar with the gluten-free diet and could recommend a number of dishes. I had a wonderful fish dish... More
