Me and my colleagues where staying 2 days in Wiesbaden for training. We wanted a nice comfy restaurant with some tupical German food. Super place, great food, very friendly staff, big portions... Definitely a recommended restaurant!

A colleague took us here for dinner, 8 people. It is a pub serving food. He introduced us to this pork main course called 'Schweinshaxe' which is a ham hock or pork knuckle, it was extremely good, we had to wait a while for it, but was worth the wait. The staff were very good and friendly. We went there... More

We went here twice during the last couple of weeks. The first time we were very impressed with the quality of the food - nicely prepared meat dishes with tasty accompaniments. The second time we were disappointed: the meat lacked flavour, the salads were unimaginative and the fried potatoes limp and greasy. I do not know whether they have different... More

The food was really nice as well as the atmosphere of the terrace. The restaurant is situated in a narrow street in the old city centre, away from the crowded restaurants. It's a great place for dinner. The waiters were extremely friendly and made you feel really welcome.

If you are going somewhere only or primarily for the food, Zum Schwejk is not the top choice. While the restaurant is wooded and cozy, with a nice bar; and the service is friendly, with the menu in English, the food is simply average. Be assured--the food is not bad. But the jaegershnitzel and salad (not expensive) was very normal.

After going to the Christmas market, we went for a meal in this restaurant. We were pleasantly suprised to discover this little, cosy restaurant. There is a big bar in the middle and 5 tables to eat. The choice on the menu card is big, the food was fresh and good and not cheap. It would have given it 4*,... More

Located in the pedestrian district of Wiesbaden, this restaurant is apparently under new management. We don't know about the previous management, but this new one puts out a wonderful meal. We each had liver and onions, and it came done perfectly and smothered in onions. We also had roasted potatoes. The portions were very large, even by German standards, and... More

Zum Schwejk was a lucky find for me as it's not immediately apparent from Wiesbaden's pedestrian precinct. This cosy pub/restaurant is ideal for people looking for an authentic traditional German experience without going over the top. No Lederhosen or oompah music here. Instead, you'll find excellent food and drink in a convivial setting. I ordered a schnitzel which may have... More
