Food is very good! If you order steak, make sure to tell them how you like it. Otherwise it will come medium rare. Cash only.

Hard to find, but worth the effort. Local dishes and good steak. Limited beer selection but very good table wines. Friendly service, beautiful beer garden off the main walking area.

We recently had dinner in the garden/courtyard area of this nice little restaurant in Kaiserslautern. Very friendly service and excellent salads and schnitzel.

We found this restaurant purely by accident as it was hidden away down the alley. We were looking for a traditional bar to have a drink and as we approached the courtyard we were blown away by the wonderful setting (outdoor candlelit tables and Ivy covered walls) We then decided to eat in the restaurant which is upstairs and could... Wonderful local flavors in a German restaurant that brings you back in time. Don't look for Wifi here, just sit back and eat in an old-style German restaurant atmosphere. Service is not speedy but who cares. Highly recommended

Very nice place. I went on a rainy day and it wasn't too busy. I was given a paper menu where you are to choose by each day option. I went on a Thursday and there were only two options; I chose the 2nd option, pork cutlet with pommes and salat and it came with soup. All was tasty and... More

The menu here is food well known in the Phalz and seasonal although there are some exceptions when the chef is in the mood. Mother's day was a good example with a typical White Asparagus offering but a chicken in "chocolate sauce" as well. I took the sauce to be a variation of a Mexican mole. Lots of pork, sausages... Hidden down a back alley and up a flight a stairs, this traditional German restaurant was one of my favorites (and my last of a 2 week trip to KTown for work). I had the pumpkin soup to start and a traditional brautwurst and liver dumpling platter with sauerkraut, fried potatoes, and some other wurst on it. And plenty dry... More

Zum Landsknecht is located in downtown Kaiserslautern on Glaserstrasse 5. This restaurant is easy to find - near McDonalds. The atmosphere is really friendly and service is exceptional (the servers speak excellent English!) Food is great quality and tastes fantastic. Great German food! (The staff gave exceptional recommendations to our group!) This is a repeat visit for me. This time... More
