The place is cozy, choice of the tapas is rich. They also serve tasty business lunches - big portions for reasonable price.

Been there for a team meeting with a team. Nice and cozy atmosphere but loud when crowded. The tapas were good and they had an extensive selection of tapas. Nothing special though.

We were staying nearby and ate here three times. The food is uniformly good--try the fresh figs in fennel cream sauce--and the tables on the square are a great place to enjoy the local scene. At peak hours servers are overburdened, though, so don't be in a hurry.

This Spanish restaurant was recommended by local and it did not disappoint. Small, cozy establishment has excellent selection of tapas, seafood and libations - beer and wine are very good. Highly recommend this place in a cool neighborhood!

There is my new review about the restaurant El EspaNol - der Spanier. Tapas and wine are good, very good choice, but the slaff is bit slower. I can recommend this place

A lot of the food is here is less tapas than various dishes served in small portions in tapas dishes; nevertheless, my husband and I enjoy the food a lot, especially the "jalapeno poppers" (that's not what they're called, but that's essentially what they are) and lamb with "avocado sauce" (now that actually IS called that, but it's essentially guacamole).... The restaurant looked busy and fun - so we decided to take drinks & a meal here. It took nearly a half hour for the waitress to come get our drink order.,,and trust me they weren't delivered quickly. Once she delivered the drinks, she rushed off without asking for our order. We had to assume she'd be right back to... More

After a long day of sightseeing in Neue and Altstadt, and enjoying the NRB festival, we were ready for drinks and dinner. We chose this place, on an energetic block in Neustadt. They had outdoor seating for soccer enthusiasts to watch the Euro 2016 matches (something we saw everywhere in Germany during our time there---fun!). We chose to sit indoors,... More

This a busy tapas bar which has both indoor and outdoor tables. We were fortunate to get an outdoor table on a beautiful summer evening. The service was very good and the food was served hot. A great choice of tapas and a very satisfying meal.

The restaurant offers great Tapas of all kinds in the centre of Barockviertel (next to Neustadt). Staff is very friendly, quick and Spanish speaking which made me feel like it's authentic :)
