We were there to enjoy a cup of tea and we got a really bad impression of the waiters there: they treated us with contempt, as if they were doing us a favour. They wouldn't let us pay with 0,5€ coins. And when we wanted to order, they reproached us to be rushy. The way of saying things wasn't appropriate... More

During our City & Marathon trip to Dresden we enjoyed twice our dinner in Ayers Rock. Fantastic food. For the first time we enjoyed Kanguru and Ostrey and it tasted very good. Friendly and professional staff and good life music with English songs. Good value for money for food, drinks ( Aussie wine and German beers ), the more this... More

outside horrible rainy - inside cozy and warm. Staff was very kind and friendly, but I can not accept some 'tcha-wan noodle' with unknown souce + chicken leg.

Me and my wife went twice to this restaurant. We had ostrich, crocodile and kangaroo plates and the food was delicious. Also the location is close to Elbe and after dinner you can enjoy a walk next to the river. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

There are a lot of restaurants in the Muenzgasse and Ayers Rock is not one of the smallest. They have a large terrrace and life music (every evening ?) The food is OK and portions are large. They also have an enormous list of cocktails (alcoholic and non alcoholic) at very reasonable prices.

We went there as a group of 7 and no one could say they were impressed. We were sat around a corner and rarely had a waitress visit us after. Our drinks sat empty for 15+ minuets at times. Thats frustrating. One of us literally yelled out loud for the bill after no one had checked on us for a... More

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Dresden. We found the food to be excellent. My wife had lamb cutlets and chicken breast and I had the barramundi. Meal portions were very good 😊. For desserts we both had crepes which again were very good. Service was prompt and very friendly. The wine list gave us a good... More

The menu is fun: fish, kangaroo and so on. If you want something different from german food one evening, this is a good option. Well presented and delicious. The kangaroo was served with an apple sauce which enhanced the meat taste. The terrace is small and overcrowded to accommodate as many people as possible, which is not so pleasant. Everyone's... Called here for dinner on the first night of our two night stay in Dresden last week. Nothng at all to criticise about the service, food, drinks or prices. I had the Victoria Sea Bass and my husband went for the crepe with Kangaroo steak. Both dishes were obviously freshly prepared, perfectly cooked and served at the right temperature. Drinks... More

Quite a good restaurant in the heart of Dresden with some exotic options from Australia - like kangaroo steak, which is better than you think -, Mexican and Italian food. They also have a wide variety of cocktails, including some non-alcoholic. I had one called Ipanema that was perfectly refreshing for the 31°C hot day. Prices are not particularly expensive... More

Description
The Australian speciality restaurant is located in Dresdens bar street "Münzgasse" between "Frauenkirche" and "Brühlsche Terrasse"! This restaurant combines an exciting mixture of Australian colonial style and international flair. Down under is very close - the restaurant Ayers Rock, in the middle of the historic old town, is presenting the Australian cuisine. The menu contains both familiar and exotic dishes, for example red emperor, crocodile and ostrich steak. The restaurant speciality is Kangaroo Rump Steak, according to a traditional recipe. We also serve familiar delicacies such as traditional Sauerbraten (marinated roasted beef) and local kinds of fish. A wide range of sun ripened and regional wines complements the food variety. When you enter the restaurant, you feel like you have stepped into another world. The pleasant yellow of the walls shines like the warm australian sun. Impressive set in scene here, is of course the world famous landmark of the country, the Ayers Rock. Decorative palm fronds and small works of art of the Aborigines can be admired throughout the room and give a bit of australian flair. At the covered terrace, the lively bustle is passing-by and enchants every visitor - accompanied by some live music every day at the piano! The sanctuary Ayers Rock, is called "Uluru" by the Aborigines!
