We visit Dresden every year and always make sure we dine at Villandry at least once whilst we are there. It has become a particular favourite of ours. If you are staying in a hotel in the Old Town....and most of the big hotels are situated there...., it is a little difficult to reach as it's a little walk across... More

I wanted a restaurant near our hotel in Dresden Neustadt (north of the Elbe) and in lieu of any current recommendations, had a look in my 7-year-old Rough Guide. In Villandry it came up with a winner. After two nights of (highly enjoyabe) bierkeller food in Leipzig, I was ready for something just a little more refined. And with its... More

We arrived without a reservation at 8.30 on a warm Monday night and they were already full in their atmospheric garden. But the service was excellent and they sorted us out with drinks whilst we waited for a table to be available. The food was superb and the service continued to be first class.

Visited on a Saturday evening quickly seated and offered the drink menu. I like how they show the menu, by presenting it on the board no time to over think and you get to ask questions. For a starter i got buffalo mozzarella portion was a bit small and i have had better mozzarella but only from italy. My wife... More

The food here was carefully considered and well prepared. The wine was excellent, and the desserts particularly special. Definitely recommended for a special occasion.

This restaurant is furnished wonderful an really modern. When you go through the restaurant, you'll arrive at a little terrasse, which is covered by beautiful wisterias (a blue flower)! In the evening, the atmosphere on the terrasse is great. The service is nice and the dishes and drinks are very good prepared/ cooked. It's a little bit more expensive but... More

We booked this restaurant on a Friday evening and we enjoyed its nice and cosy atmopshere. The menu also in English is written on blackboards and has a Mediterranean influence: we had pot au feu and winter salad and then fish. The main problem - apart from the starter portions being a bit too small - is that service can... More

Having wandered around Aussere Neustadt late one evening with a friend, unable to find an interesting place to dine, we stumbled across Villandry in very quiet side street, the restaurant not at all visible from the main street. No menu on the facade. We could bare glimpse inside but decided to give it a try. The waitresses were so nice,... More
