Dresden in mid May was very warm to it was great to sit outside and eat. Friendly English speaking staff and English translated menu. Traditional German fare so plenty of meat and dumplings all at very reasonable prices

We sat on their outside patio which is quite large and boisterous. We had a decent bottle of Italian red wine, my wife had a very generous grilled pike/perch and I had a good size pork Schnitzel, bothcame with very good roast potatoes. They whole meal only cost 65 Euros.

typical brauhaus cuisine with more of a bavarian orientation (actually more of a marketing trick, nothing really changes, all german traditional restaurants serve the same food more or less). The typical dishes, schnitzel wiener art and goulash were very tasty.

Seating outside is picturesque, right near the Frauenkirche. I got 1/4 Duck with wine sauce, cabbage and potato dumpling. The duck was well cooked and the cabbage was very tasty. Good service.

We had a great meal here, I had meat loaf& my husband roast pork. We both had a pretzel. My husband had a glass of Maximator - strong beer for Lent. I had a dunkel beer & it was very nice. We enjoyed the beer & pretzels so much we went the day after at lunch time for more!

Unfortunately the restaurant did not meet our expectations. Despite good reviews on the portal. Pork knuckle with crispy crust but why inside the meat was very hard? Completely non-deriving from the bones. Beef in raisin sauce - sauce with artificial flavor enhancers. Beef completely dry. Food without any smell, taste and any spices. Only cabbage and red cabbage was very... More

Its for beer, if that's not your thing, its a pass. Definitely not for wine, limited selection not adequate and half of what would be considered quite acceptable are on the menu, but not in stock. The serbice was horribly slow. The food just average with far too much green onions overwhelming every dish. Not recommended

The Haxn is famous and the crust is delicious. The waitress are so friendly for a "Touristik" restaurant so u feel really warm welcomed. The beer is great and the view on the Frauenkirche is outstanding. Don't Miss it when ur in Munich!

Went there with a big group, we chose the most expensive option that included a salad and pork knuckle, there wasn't much choice. The food was just good, nothing spectacular. The beer was indeed excellent, they offer a wonderful pils from their brewery. Worth the visit.

Description
At home in Saxony! Loveably Saxon & Typically Bavarian Under this motto we welcome you daily from 10 am in one of the reconstructed baroque town houses on Neumarkt square in Dresden. Augustiner an der Frauenkirche has space over its three storeys in various lounges that can also be rented out separately. In addition there is room in the outdoor area, an open invitation to experience the pulsating life of one of Europe's most unique cities with a direct view of the Frauenkirche church. Friends of our Augustiner beer can choose between five different beer types, all of which are dispensed fresh from the barrel apart from the wheat beer which is bottled. Accompanying your beer you can enjoy the corresponding seasonally selected Bavarian/Saxon cuisine.
