Cafe Dreissig is a bakery located at Altmarkt just next to the NH Collection hotel that opens at 7am Mon-Sat and 8am - Sun for those seeking a quick, light and affordable bite to eat early in the morning. We stopped here and had a croissant, orange flavoured bread, tea and espresso all for 5.75 (euro). Breads were fine, nothing... More

I chose not to get breakfast at my hotel so I stopped in here for a sit down breakfast during my stroll through the Striezelmarkt. I got the Farmer's breakfast and a Milchkaffee. This comes with two rolls of your choice, scrambled eggs with bacon, and a couple of slices of tomato and cucumber. I received my food promptly and... More

Tasty, inexpensive, breakfast/bakery/lunch. Very close to NH Collection Dresden Altmarkt hotel. Bakery items and coffee choices were delicious.

This is a bakery/cafe in a very central location. Very friendly staff and delicious bread and pastries. Generous breakfast portions and fresh orange juice. Would recommend.

We stayed at the NH Collection right next to Dreissig and went there every morning for breakfast. The service was fast and friendly, the coissants very good and the coffee and tea excellent.

I was in a hurry and only bought a chocolate croissant to take away. Therefore, I cannot comment on anything except the chocolate croissant. It's very dry and didn't taste good at all. The dine-in customers seemed to enjoy their breakfast though.

Counter service cafe good for a quick, inexpensive breakfast, especially for coffee, pastry and breakfast sandwiches. Not a lot of seating on very cold morning. English only speakers note--will mostly need to point to your choices since wait staff not fluent in English.

This is our favorite coffee place in Dresden, good selection of coffee, good selection of cakes, service always fast and professional and the prices for the city centre are moderate. Mostly local people. Highly recommended for a quick bite and coffee before walking around beautiful city of Dresden

Despite what is said below, this small shop is only a bakery and does not serve other hot breakfast foods, like eggs, meat, cereal, and other items usually found in an American-style breakfast. Pastries look fantastic, but that was not what we were looking for.
