Fantastic place for dinner. Unpretentious in appearance, it really shows its capabilities with food and wine. Service was great, friendly and helpful.

Our second visit to Münsters confirms it—this restaurant is fabulous. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, but it is the personalized service that sets Münsters apart from the rest. From the wait staff to the sommelier to the chef himself serving...the main dish and inquiring as to our satisfaction afterwards, the customer is king.More

My son and his wife wanted to take me to dinner somewhere special. Munsters was easy to reach on the No. 4 tram and had a nice atmosphere when we walked in. Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. The menu was not large but...there was a good range of choice. I had the Quail to start and the Pork Cutlet main. Both were excellent. You do not leave hungry. The wine waiter suggested some wines after discussing what we would like. The final choice was perfectly good. We needed gluten and lactose free options and these were provided with ease and confidence. Booking is wise as it was busy. A very nice eveningMore

We chose Munsters for our one night out in Leipzig based on previous TA reviews and were delighted by the overall experience- a warm welcome, great service and an imaginative and well balanced (although short) menu of traditional dishes with a modern twist. We were...particularly impressed with the friendly service as our waitress took time to talk us through the menu and translate all the dishes into English, even going to the kitchen to check she had got some of the ingredients correct. We also loved the wine selections chosen for us by the sommelier! Overall a great experience and a final bill for 3-4 courses for 2 people with pre dinner drinks and a bottle of wine of just over €150 seemed like great value. I hope we can come back to Leipzig before long and revisit Munsters.More

The atmosphere, welcome and our starters were outstanding, but our main course, swordfish, was really bad. The centre of the fish smelt strongly of ammonia and tasted "foul" and was clearly on the edge of being unuseable. This can happen, especially so far away from...the sea, but what left an even worse taste in our mouths, was that the restaurant then denied the problem and argued that "swordfish has a strong taste" and "the fish was delivered today". I am a cook and know the taste and smell of bad fish, and there was no doubt at all. Thankfully it was well cooked so we weren't sick. My wife, who ate a different dish immediately smelt a bad odor across the table when I cut it open. The restaurant did give us a small discount but it was still an expensive meal and we left with the taste of bad fish in our mouths. If Munsters do read the reviews I would give them one strong piece of advice - please do not doubt your own customers. A restaurant with your ambition and prices should always respect the views of its customers. In this case, we were not being difficult, we didn't make a scene, but we left wish a horrible taste, some doubt of whether it would make us ill (it didn't) and feeling that the restaurant wouldn't acknowledge the problem.More

I really liked the atmosphere and the food. Small cosy place. A big but for me as non German guest is that they only accepted EC cards and no credit cards. Not taking credit cards really limits the business guests.

It is a very nice fine restaurant. Food was great and staff were very friendly. It was a bit hard to get a table but we went for a really nice walk around the place and it was beautiful,so overall really good.
