At the prominent location at the church, having J.S.Bach in you mind, this is a fine location fir a break. Have a cake or soups. All there. Nice sitting outside. Friendly service!

Nice cafe with view of the church. Their speciality is Kandler Lerche which is very tasty and full of marzipan. The drinks are also of a high quality. Overall, it's a nice place to stop and rest.

We had afternoon tea twice at Cafe Kandler in Speck's Hof and enjoyed both visits. It is quite a modern-looking cafe tucked away in this lovely arcade. The coffee and hot chocolate were good and my mousse cake was absolutely delicious. Service was warm and...attentive.More

Friendly service. Absolutely overpriced. Quality is not as excellent as it’s portrayed. Paid €3.50 for 4 triangles of cheese (worse cheese ever, tasted like plastic, probably from the plastic container of discount supermarket - kind of upsetting!), €1 for a little portion of butter ;-(...There are so many nicer cafés in town whose quality is better and their price are way more appropriate. Even though boiled eggs were ordered with breakfast, they didn’t come till waiter was asked and breakfast was almost eaten up. At their bakery, it smelled horribly like cigarette smoke. I would take my money somewhere else. Leipzig is MUCH better than that!! No pictures because it wasn’t worth it.More

They make a good coffee, and giv a large range of teas. The cakes are excellent, fresh, and made from good materials. The ambience is good too A very good break if you go for quality

We were there for breakfast, and came back afterwards several times during our stay in Leipzig. Quality ot cakes, pastries, coffees, teas, etc is excelent. it is not cheap, but it is very good. Depending on the staff you will be served, you will find...them kind or rude... They even have a place outside to smoke. Elegant atmosphere, elegant local people. Nice dishes and cutlery. Would be back !!!More

Inside the interior was simple but the menu had many kinds of desserts and drinks. I recommend that you get traditional desserts “leipziger lerche” and “leipziger rabchen” but the “leipziger rabchen” was one of the best desserts of my life. It has both plums and...marzipan; try it and you'll definitely not regret it.More

We spotted the Cafe Kandler near the Nikolaikirche on our walking tour and were attracted by the old facade so went back for coffee and cakes. The interior is also very interesting and old-fashioned. Although the place was very busy and the waitress "in stress"...she was still very friendly and organised. Both cakes we chose from the vitrine were delicious and we also were able to get some traditional "Lerchen" (larks) cakes - with marzipan filling - to take with us. Would definitely return. If you found my review helpful, I would appreciate your vote.More
