Having wandered the quarter looking for a likely spot for lunch we finally plumped for this place for no particular reason other than we had to make a choice eventually. Of our selection of dishes the plate of boquerones really stood out. They were so fresh and delicious, I make them myself and it was clear that these had just... More

I loved our meal here - we had lunch (they don't start serving food until 2pm, despite the internet they open at 1pm) & all the tables were full in the lovely little square in front of the restaurant. Everything we ordered was tasty, but a clear favourite was a grilled mackarel which was cooked to perfection from their big... More

finally found this place and gave it a try. the place wasn't full with 4 or 5 spare tables. enjoyed our first plates but when the tuna came it was well done . never had tuna cooked all the way through and it should be served rare like a steak. wine was ok just that and that seemed to sum... More

In a tipical square we have eaten a very good dinner. Mussels very fresh and good. Also the daily pescado well cooked. The hosts rapid, gentle and the menu is available in more languages. One of the most tasty and appreciated dinner.

The place gets really busy. It's best to show up for dinner at about 8pm or even earlier. Otherwise you might end up wairing for a table for over an hour (worth it though). Food is amazing, cheap (you gotta try the caballas) and service quite fast considering the are serving more than 100 people at any given time

La plaza del tío la Tiza is one of those places that you need to go when visiting Cadiz. It's probably one of the oldest places in town that still serves the best local fish (caballas, robalos, lenguas, atún. And manY more) Like everything in Cadiz... You need to take things easy. It is tremendously busy, which it is a... More

It is kind of touristic attraction (LP listing) with waiting lines for the table. Basically it is generic fast food without a remarkable dish. Too busy, not our cup of coffee, but nice atmosphere at pleasant square.

This place was amazing: great location on a secluded square with outdoor seating, lively atmosphere (can get pretty busy during peak times), however the best thing about it was the food - fresh fish generously portioned & reasonably priced, with delicious accompanying wine. The service can get slightly brusque sometimes but as it's such a popular place the waiters can... More
