Meeting an old friend from Australia in Andulcia we wanted a VERY nice lunch. A business friend reccommended El Faro and there was not a moment we felt disappointed. We arrived early - 1.30pm - for a 2.15pm booking yet we were well received. We...More

Had a very enjoyable meal here but with prices at €1.80 each for an oyster and around €20 for the fish dishes this will be at the absolute top end of restaurant prices in Cadiz. Very formal setting if you eat in the restaurant.

Friends in the know steered us here on our walk around Cadiz, not only for its atmosphere but the must try-dish of tortillitas de camarones. Which translates to shrimp fritters but is a experience non plus ultra. We shunned the taster menu and went for...More

We were recommended to eat here and we were not disappointed. Traditional, formal but comfortable. Delicious food from a good varied menu. Not too expensive either. Well worth the walk from the Parador. Certainly a restaurant to recommend.

We were here for dinner with friends and it was just perfect 👌🏻. As we were very hungry I don't have photos of appetizers, but tartar and toasts with fua were very tasty 😋.

Here, the food was top-notch all the way. The "albondiguitas de marisco" (seafood meatballs) were outrageously delicious. They were unique, but somehow came across like comfort food. I played tourist and had seafood paella, which was loaded with all kinds of great frutas del mar....More

The staff were very unwelcoming and unhelpful with the menu, to the point of rudeness. All the foreign diners were kept together and all treated with the same attitude. The food was excellent however thoroughly spoilt by the atmosphere.More

El Faro de Cadiz is located in the traditional neighborhood of "La Viña", where Gonzalo Cordoba started with a small bar decorated as a sailor tavern, with nets and fishing stuff, with few wooden benches and tables. The customers came in search of the famous fried fish, called "pescaito frito" daily carried by fishermen of "caleta" beach. His daily concern and desire to excel led him to transform the local expanding and providing modern facilities. Now retired, his spirit of service and commitment to others is part of our principle to keep shining gastronomically Cadiz and we are proud to continue this work. El Faro Cadiz is still committed to the tradition to move forward and offer the best of our sea and our land to our clients.
