We love this palce for our lunch as their menu of the day is so good and well priced. They also do lots of lovely and yummy tapas in the really working class typical Spanish atmosphere which normally noisey so do not just come here and expect "5 stars" table service! We only recommend you guys to come here if... More

My wife and I tried the camarones rebosados (fried shrimp). These are large pieces of shrimp that are fried and are very crunchy and very good tasting. We also tried the boquerones al vinagre (anchovies in vinegar). These are not cooked but are seasoned in vinegar, a very Andalusian recipe which few foreigners have tried.

This bar/ taperia is definitely not eye catching from outside. The first time I stopped there was simply to have a coffee and go. I actually ended up staying there for much longer...a coffee turned into lunch. At lunchtime the Bar Axarquia offers a fixed price menu for 7€. It includes two courses, dessert or coffee, bread and a drink... More

I googled the most authentic tapas in Malaga and boy was trip advisor right again on this one!! The Paella is the best in Malaga - it was absolutely perfect - great ratio of meat to fish - moist and hot but it finishes really quickly and is just served at lunctime - We went and had breakfast here first... Walked into the place this afternoon and off course tried the paella. I must say I have had better ones. It had one mussel, some venus-shells and a lot of chicken (wich was nice), but the dish was soaked in oil (never had a paella that greasy) and did not have much taste either. After that I had meat (solomillo)... More

I went here a couple of times on my recent short stay in Malaga. It does not look very special from the outside, but don't let that put you off. I had tapas rather than Menu del Dia, and the food was very tasty and very good value. Went in there one evening for a snack and a drink; great... More
