We ate here almost 2 years ago, and thought we would go back for lunch today. We made the right choice - it was just as good as it was when we were here before! We had ham and cheese and berenjenias with cane sugar...More

Got a seat on the patio. Very nice place. Service was fast. Peoe were waiting but we never felt pressure to leave. Sangria was very tasty and refreshing. Ox tail was very tender. Cod was good but not perfect. I would return for sure.

Our local tour guide recommended this restaurant to us and so decided to give it a try. The wines produced on the premises were superb, as was the food. . Would definitely recommend.

We got promptly seated outside by a friendly staff member, unlike other places in Malaga, where you have to wait. Nice view of the amphitheater. Tapas were of good quality but slightly pricey. Staff was friendly.

Good tapas and very friendly staff! Great location and busy place! Love all the barrels with the names of stars who visited over the years!

The interior is amazing, definitely worth visiting and having a glass of Málaga sweet wine at the bar. However, when we ate there they added several euros to the menu price, per dish. Food was average, not worth the fuss.

Description
This emblematic wine cellar built in an old house from the 18th century is a meeting place for people of all ages. It has welcomed many generations of artists, flamenco dancers or politicians. It is named after formerly popular city figures called 'los pimpis', young people who had helped ship crews or passengers and had become the first city guides. It is furnished in the style of Malaga, and offers local wines and delicious gastronomy which is very popular in the city. The soul of the restaurant is the lounge with the vintage wine barrels, signed by famous people, such as the family Picasso, the painter Barcelo, the bullfighter Cordobes, The Duchess of Alba, Carmen Thyssen and Antonio Banderas, who show the historical value of this place. This establisment is in the old town of Malaga, next to the Museum Picasso, La Alcazaba (the Citadel of Malaga) and the Roman Theatre.
